After your initial induction and customer service training, we offer a range of specific vocational courses and front line training. NVQs and apprenticeships are available for some of our roles, and a series of management development programmes are delivered globally. So whatever stage you are at in your career there is something there for you.

As we believe in developing people to become the managers of the future we have established a programme to do just that. Running a winning leisure attraction is not easy and takes a breadth of skills and the right approach to do it successfully - from effective communication and negotiation to marketing and financial skills.
This programme enables individuals to make the step change from "managing" to "leading". Improved confidence, becoming a role model, and nurturing your team all feature in this 3-module programme. The five principles covered are simple however highly effective in delivering great business results.
A diploma in Business and Management, this programme uses a blended approach of vocational and theory based learning, and is designed to help our existing leaders progress to the next stage in their careers. The Merlin board endorses the business projects in this programme enabling delegates to further build their profile.

All our internal courses are delivered using brain friendly learning techniques ensuring the sessions are engaging, motivational and outcome orientated. Your development is reviewed regularly using our global company performance review Personal Development Plan (PDP). This focuses on competency assessment, development opportunities and career planning.
